Paper as a medium has long been neglected by the art market in favour of the canvas. In this exhibition, the gallery has brought together a rare aesthetic experience with works ranging from the pre independence era to post modern to the new contemporary. It is fascinating to note the changes in styles within the medium. This show also blurs the lines between folk, high and popular and is an archive of the various understandings of the medium.

Rare works by Rabindranath Tagore, Chugtai, Ram Kinkar Baij & Somnath Hore shall be available. Then there are Raja Ravi Varma prints, Colonial Etchings, Cinema stills… The show also boasts of some atypical / older works by Contemporary artists, namely Mithu Sen, Vibha Galhotra, Puneet Kaushik, as well as new tendencies from the likes of Anindita Bhattacharya, Deepak Tandon and Sahntanu Lodh.
