B. Prabha
(1933 2001) was a major Indian artist who worked mainly in oil, in an instantly recognizable style. She is best known for graceful elongated figures of pensive rural women. Her inspiration was Amrita Sher-Gil.

She was a graduate of the Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai.

Some of B. Prabha's works had been sold at high prices, some of which includes Untitled (1964) sold at Christie's New York for EUR 59,093 in 2006, Rajasthani Girls (1963) sold at Bonhams, Dubai for EUR 42,835 in 2008, Two Women (1975) sold at Christie's London for EUR 40,964 in 2007, Three Women (1962) sold at Christie's New York for EUR 39,375 in 2007 and Untitled sold at Sotheby's New York for EUR 39,097 in 2005.
